Founded and run out of conviction.

QUBUS was founded in the summer of 1995. The idea originated, quite practically, on a paper tablecloth in a Ludwigsburg pizzeria. What was once an engineering firm has grown into a service provider with over 100 employees: chemists, surface engineers, materials engineers, coatings engineers, environmental and safety engineers, electroplating technicians, lawyers and business administrators.

The company is still run today by its founders, Christian Deyhle, Ulrich Mäule and Michael Müller, as well as by Marc Holz, who joined the management team in 2016. In 2018, a foundation was established to safeguard the ownership structure in the long term. Responsibility that remains within the company.

QUBUS is not a testing body, but a planning and consultancy partner. We ensure that our technical expertise remains up to date through active participation in industry committees and associations. This knowledge is channelled directly into your projects.

IFO & QUBUS: Two companies. One conviction.

QUBUS and IFO are two independent companies united by a shared conviction: quality in surface technology is achieved when planning and testing, consultancy and laboratory work, science and practice work together.

QUBUS brings its engineering and design expertise to the table: plant design, regulatory approval and process optimisation carried out directly at the customer’s premises. As an accredited testing and certification body, the IFO guarantees objective results. For you, this means direct access to an accredited testing laboratory, with no loss of efficiency at the interfaces.
