The first step towards reducing energy consumption in a paint shop and using energy more efficiently is to understand it. Due to a lack of energy monitoring equipment or its poor placement, paint shop operators are unable to provide any information – or only insufficient information – on the energy consumption of the entire paint shop or individual sections of it.
