New requirements, guidelines and practical advice: Understanding the implications for industrial coating companies
The „Installations Ordinance“ – or, to give it its full name, the „Ordinance on Installations for the Handling of Substances Hazardous to Water, AwSV“ – was published in August 2018 and, as a new federal ordinance, replaces 16 previously disparate installations ordinances known as VAwS in the respective federal states. Particularly for businesses operating nationwide, there used to be confusing differences depending on the location of the business. For the first time, harmonised requirements across Germany are now available in the field of facility-related water protection.
