For almost 30 years, the Schwäbisch Gmünd-based Musical Factory e.V. has been supporting children and young people aged between 6 and 27 in the fields of singing, dance and drama. Every two years, the ensemble, comprising around 60 performers, stages a major musical production.
In this year’s production, *The Return of Peter Pan*, flying performers and a pirate ship whisk the audience away to the world of Neverland.
The performances will take place from 8 to 10 May at the Stadtgarten in Schwäbisch Gmünd.
In mid-March 2026, the Central Association for Surface Technology (ZVO) once again held its well-established introductory seminar at the premises of QUBUS Planung und Beratung Oberflächentechnik GmbH.
Over a period of two and a half days, participants were given an overview of key topics in the industry – ranging from fundamental terminology and processes, through various coating systems, to plant engineering, quality assurance and environmental considerations. This concise seminar is aimed at purchasers, quality managers, design engineers and newcomers to the field, and provides practical, fundamental knowledge of electroplating and surface treatment technology.
As well as the transfer of specialist knowledge, personal interaction also played an important role: the open atmosphere of discussion made it possible to clarify individual queries directly with the speakers and to benefit from their practical experience.
As surface engineering topics are often only touched upon in many technical training and degree programmes, this seminar provides a valuable addition to the knowledge of professionals across a wide range of sectors. Since 2005, Bandcamp Aalen has been bringing young musicians together to form bands, develop songs and gain their first experience of performing on stage. Working alongside an experienced team of tutors, a creative space has emerged over the years where talent, collaboration and live music take centre stage.

On Sunday 29 March, the music we have been working on will be performed at a public concert at Kapfenburg Castle.

At Surface Technology 2026, IFO and QUBUS will be presenting their range of services covering planning, consultancy, testing and analysis in the field of surface technology.
At stand C41 (39) in Hall 1, visitors can find out how climate cycle tests can be used to identify corrosion risks at an early stage, how product certifications can be utilised strategically, and how optimised plant design saves time and money.
In one-to-one discussions, the focus is on individual issues and practical solutions.

2025 was a particularly eventful year for us: countless fascinating discussions, client interactions and joint projects made our anniversary year truly special. Among our highlights were the grand anniversary celebration in July and the opening of the new IFO branch in Lublin, Poland.

A specialist presentation on current environmental protection requirements:
On 25 September 2025 at 8.30 am in Room 5, the topic will be „Containment of fire-fighting water during the operation of installations handling substances that pose a risk to water“.
The focus is on the requirements placed on operators of such systems – particularly with regard to the ‘principle of due care’ under the Water Resources Act (WHG). As there are as yet no standardised national design criteria, the presentation provides practical insights and technical design examples relating to the retention of fire-fighting water.
